Annual Bramhall duck race returns this weekend
By Alasdair Perry 13th May 2026
The Bramhall duck race is back this weekend, in what promises to be a fantastic day out for all ages.
The race takes place at Bramall Hall on Sunday 17 May 2026 from 11am to 4pm.
The event will feature a packed programme of duck races, from giant specialty ducks through to massive anatidaen marathons featuring a thousand ducks each.
Entry is free to watch the races - however, if you'd like to sponsor a racer, it's £1 to send a duck into the water.
Races will be taking place throughout the day from 11am.
And as well as the main events, there will also be activities for kids such as a fairground and bouncy castle.
There will also be craft stalls selling food, gifts, and more.
Singers and dance groups from the area will be providing entertainment throughout the day.
The money raised will go to the MNDA, Manchester, and other charities and good causes.
And if you're wondering how to get there, there will be buses ferrying passengers to the hall from various locations - find out more here.
The event is being organised by Bramhall Rotary Club, and sponsored by by Leighton Snow and The Vernon.
