Borough Care has been officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the second year running - here's what they had to say.

Borough Care Group are thrilled to announce that for the second consecutive year, we have been officially certified as a Great Place to Work!

This accreditation recognises our unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all our employees. This achievement is particularly meaningful as it reflects the direct feedback and experiences of our dedicated team members.

We are delighted to report a significant increase in survey participation, with 67% of our staff completing the Great Place to Work survey this year, a fantastic 10% increase from 2024. This higher engagement demonstrates our employees' growing trust and willingness to contribute to our collective success.

The results of the 2025 survey highlight several key areas of improvement and strong performance. Our overall Trust Index Score has risen to 76%, a 6% increase from 2024. Furthermore, the percentage of employees who would strongly recommend Borough Care Group to friends and family as a Great Place to Work has jumped from 64% to 75% this year. Overall, 77% of our employees now say Borough Care Group is a great place to work, up from 68% last year.

These outstanding results are a direct testament to the hard work and initiatives implemented over the past year and we are particularly proud of the positive shifts in specific areas:

  • Everyone has an opportunity to get special recognition – up by 8%. This reflects our enhanced efforts to acknowledge and reward the exceptional contributions of our staff.
  • This is a fun place to work – increased by 9%. We believe that a positive and enjoyable work atmosphere is crucial for employee wellbeing.
  • Promotions go to those who best deserve them, and management hires people who fit in well – both up by 11%. These significant increases indicate the success of our fair and transparent promotion processes and our commitment to building cohesive and effective teams.
  • Management shows a sincere interest in me as a person, not just an employee – up by 7%. This highlights our dedication to our person-centred approach, recognising the individual needs and aspirations of every team member.

In addition to this outstanding achievement, Borough Care is immensely proud to also be named one of the UK's Top Workplaces for Women by the Great Place to Work.

This accolade highlights our dedication to creating an equitable and empowering workplace where women can thrive and advance their careers. To mark this recognition, Borough Care Group will be listed in the September issue of Elle magazine, among other leading businesses committed to gender equality and employee wellbeing.

This recognition is a testament to the inclusive culture and supportive policies that Borough Care has cultivated, ensuring that all employees feel valued and have opportunities for growth.

We would like to express our gratitude to every employee who participated in the survey. Your feedback is invaluable and directly contributes to shaping Borough Care into an even better workplace.

We remain committed to listening, learning, and continuously improving our employee experience. This certification is a shared success, and we look forward to another exciting year of growth and achievement together.

Dr Mark Ward, CEO of Borough Care Group, said: "We are absolutely delighted that Borough Care has been certified as a Great Place to Work once again.

"This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment for all our colleagues.

"We are particularly pleased to have also been named on the UK's Top 100 Workplaces for Women list as part of the Great Place to Work survey, reflecting our dedication to gender equality and creating opportunities for women to thrive.

"I would like to thank to every single member of our team; your invaluable feedback through the survey and your ongoing commitment to Borough Care and, most importantly, to our residents, are what make these achievements possible. Thank you for making Borough Care truly a great place to work."
