It's the welcome return of the Mind Body and Spirit event, taking place from Saturday 6th to Sunday 7th September.

This event, a fixture of Stockport's yearly events itinerary, will feature two days of workshops, speakers, activities and more - centred around the theme of mind, body and spirit.

Visitors will find more than 50 workshops and demonstrations covering everything from art, opening cacao ceremonies, meditation and yoga through to ecstatic dance, Thai massage, mediumship demonstrations, and much more.

There will also be more than 60 traders offering jewellery, crystals, aromatherapy oils, books, gifts, and more - handy for a bit of early Christmas shopping.

Each day will run from 10am until 6pm, with a programme scheduled for each day.

The full itinerary can be found on the event website here - have a sneak peek.

And for the cost of event entry, you can go to any of the workshops that take your fancy. There are no hidden extra charges - everything is included.

It's one of the reasons why a two-day ticket is recommended. Although Saturday or Sunday tickets are available individually, there's so much to see that you need the full weekend to cover as many bases as possible!

Earlybird prices are £10 for the weekend, or £6 for the day in advance. Alternatively, it's £1 more on the door.

Behind the event is Rosemary Douglas, who's been attending and organising these kinds of events for 18 years.

Such experience means she's been able to spend time curating what she deems to be the best exhibitors for the weekend.

"They're all carefully curated - I wanted to create something that me and others would want to go to ourselves", she told us when we caught up with her in the run-up to this September's event.

"I organise these events because it comes from a place of genuine interest - because I value what's available out there for people to engage in that could have a positive impact on their lives."

"I wanted to create something that me and others would want to go to ourselves"

It's certainly true that Rosemary has spent time getting the atmosphere just right at these events - a welcoming environment for those with similar interests to get together.

"There's a real community feel here", Rosemary said. "You don't need to bring anyone with you; the environment is uplifting accepting one can be at one feel at one.

"There's always time to talk with others - it's a social experience, aiming to be joyful and uplifting.

"It's a place full of like-minded people, so no one feels isolated."

And best of all, this isn't just a like-minded community of Stockport residents. Whilst there are plenty of locals at the event, it also attracts visitors from across the UK and beyond.

"People come from all over", Rosemary explains. "It's grown massively over time. There's international visitors and exhibitors who come regularly now."

And people visit for all kinds of different reasons. For some, it's a chance to try out new things and meet similar people. For others, it's an opportunity to develop an already keen interest in one of the many fields featured at the event.

"I organise these events because it comes from a place of genuine interest"

And what if you're a new visitor?

As Rosemary says: "I'd just encourage people to try it out. People come for all kinds of different reasons, but it can be helpful if you're looking to make a decision or need some guidance, or if you just want an uplifting and wonderful day out."

You can find TICKETS, plus more details of what to expect, on the Mind Body and Spirit website here.
