Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will: Lead mechanical tasks and support electrical maintenance where required. Resolve breakdowns involving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Perform planned maintenance on machinery such as conveyors, balers, compactors, and shredders. Participate in annual shutdowns and assist across multiple sites as needed. Mentor and support apprentices in their career development. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or equivalent. 18th Edition qualification or willingness to complete within three months of joining. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance of industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, and gearboxes. Welding and fabrication skills. Personal skills The Multiskilled Engineer role would suit someone who: Is adaptable and able to handle both mechanical and electrical challenges. Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and supporting junior colleagues. Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
