Customer Service Executive / Manager depending on experience - Stockport - Salary DOE within the Pallet Network Distribution and UK Haulage marketOur client are a well-established logistics company based in Stockport and due to their continued growth they are looking for an experienced Customer Service Administrator / Manager to be based in their head office in Stockport. They currently operate across 2 pallet networks, hazardous and non-hazardous freight and working within the commercial department, you will be responsible for the following: - Answering calls and liaising with customers chasing bookings, delivery times and dealing with queries. - Liaising with other pallet network depots to chase ETAs, deal with queries, missing / damaged goods. - Working with the Operations team to ensure that customers' collections and deliveries run smoothly and communicating any issues to customers in a timely and professional manner. - Managing customer claims and paperwork. - Managing and updating internal and pallet network databases accurately with PODs, ETAs, invoice changes etc - Calling and emailing suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiating prices and arranging bookings for customers. - Providing daily reports for key customers. - Working with accounts to set up new businesses onto our internal system and the booking portal. Opening customer's portal access and dealing with any queries from customers around the portal and how to book jobs. - Providing excellent customer service and developing strong relationships with both our customers' and suppliers. - Ad hoc projects for the management team including updating the CRM system with new potential customers. Ideally the right candidate will have a logistics background preferably from a UK Haulage or Pallet Network , but Parcels and Freight Forwarding will be considered too and have a good understanding of the process. You must have B2B customer service experience, candidates won't be considered if they only have worked with B2C customers previously.You need a good understanding of computer systems, attention to detail and above all have a professional manner.
