A little piece of Asia is coming to Stockport next weekend.

From 5-10pm on Friday 9 January, St Mary's Church in Market Place will be transformed into a street market with food stalls purveying cuisine from Japan, Korea, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and more.

Organised by Eat Good West UK, the event will also feature live Asian-inspired music performances, and will give visitors the chance to have a look around the 700-year-old building itself, which will be open with tables available.

Eat Good West has quickly made a name for itself as the only regular Asian food market in Stockport.

What started as a group of young adults looking for a place to make friends and share food has quickly snowballed into a hugely popular regular market which runs on every second Friday of the month.
