Four vehicles involved in two separate crashes on road in Poynton

Emergency services were called to the scene of two separate crashes involving a total of four vehicles in Poynton yesterday evening (Wednesday 7 January).
The incidents on London Road South left one vehicle on its side.
Every person in the vehicles was accounted for. Two casualties were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Crews were called to reports of two separate road traffic collisions at the same location, involving a total of four vehicles. All persons were accounted for on arrival.
"Firefighters extinguished a fire involving one of the vehicles, which was on its side, using a hose reel jet. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
"Two casualties were assessed at the scene by paramedics.
"A full road closure was put in place and managed by police to maintain safety while the incident was dealt with."
