Marvellous March Foodie Friday takes place this Friday from 6pm - 9pm in Stockport Market with one of the biggest line-ups of street food traders ever with 28 traders in the Market Place and on Great Underbank.

There's a huge amount of choice with award-winning street food offers from all across the world including Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Jamaican.

Foodie Friday caters for all appetites and there's a large range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food offers. Trader Disco Tots is a completely gluten free offer selling crispy parcels of potato with delicious toppings.

On Great Underbank outside The White Lion and The Underbank, you can find two Foodie Friday traders 'I Love Piri Piri' specialising in Portuguese street food and 'Archchi's' Sri Lankan street food. There will also a stage area with entertainment all evening including morris dancing and performances from young singers Callum Buckley and Sophia Basso.

In the Market Hall there's a great line-up of entertainment from 6.30pm with Hyde Musical Society performing songs from Spamalot, singer Sophia Basso at 7pm, saxaphonist Saxy Holls at 7.30pm and Jon Vivant Band ending the evening with their uplifting brand of street folk. Adlington Morris, Roots Morris and Stockport Morris will be dancing in the Market Place.

March Foodie Friday is always a big event and the perfect opportunity to discover the very best of Stockport town centre. There's always a great family atmosphere at Foodie Friday and families with young children can enjoy free art activities at the back of Stockport Market Hall from Art With Earl and Ohana Theatre group.

The event organisers recommend arriving early to beat the queues as many traders are set up and ready to serve by 5.30pm.
