Sunday 11 January
Delve into the life, times and work of Jack Vettriano at this talk by Julia Marwood.
It runs from 2-3pm on Sunday 11 January at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery.
A description for this event reads: "The recent death of the hugely popular Scottish artist Jack Vettriano drew the attention of a lot of art lovers to the art world north of the border. Why was Jack Vettriano so popular with the public but so despised by the art establishment? And who else has been prominent in Scottish art in recent years?
"This talk will explore the phenomenon that was - and still is - Vettriano, and a range of other recent artists, from the New Glasgow Boys emerging from the Glasgow School of Art in the 1980s to contemporary Scottish women like Alison Watt and Caroline Walker, with many more in between!
"Refreshments will be available, and you can reserve up to 2 tickets per purchase. Wheelchair access and lift available."
