Abdulmalik Abdullah Abass appeared at Stockport Magistrates' Court today after being charged with sexual offences against a girl under-16 (Image - Nub News)

A man appeared at Stockport Magistrates Court today (Monday 21 September) after being charged with sexual offences against a child.

Abdulmalik Abdullah Abass (07/12/2003) a Sudanese national now of Gatcombe Square, Manchester, was charged with multiple offences.

These include: engaging in sexual activity with a girl under-16; taking a child under-16 from a person having lawful control; and meeting a girl under 16 years of age with the intent of grooming

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Crown Square Crown Court in Manchester on 26 October.
