Krazy Races will make its second appearance in Stockport this year, and it looks to be as big a spectacle as ever.

This year's soapbox race will take place in around two weeks' time on Sunday 28 July. There are as many as 15,000-20,000 visitors expected.

Just like last year, the event will see teams of racers speed down from St Peter's Square, past the Plaza building and onto Mersey Square, dodging obstacles and navigating sharp turns along the way. All of it is done with the aim of raising money for charity.

The event timetable is as follows:

• 10.45am - launch procession
• 11am - racing starts
• 1pm - lunch
• 2pm - afternoon racing
• 4.30-5pm - top teams battle it out
• 5pm - winners announced

The event is free to attend - just turn up at St Peter's Square!
