A youth has been arrested at Stockport Interchange on suspicion of robbery.

Police were called to the Interchange yesterday evening (19 March) following reports of anti-social behaviour.

It was during that deployment that one of a group of youths was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Enquiries are ongoing, police said.

The youth cannot be named for legal reasons.

In a post on social media, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officer have been deployed [...] in response to recent reports of anti-social behaviour.

"During the deployment, one of a group of youths has been arrested on suspicion of robbery."
