A 23-year-old man is in 'life-threatening' condition following a serious road traffic collision in Bredbury.

On Friday 20 June around 10.20pm, the young man had been walking along Lower Bents Lane near the Grehyound pub, when a Vauxhall Corsa reportedly collided with him.

The vehicle had been heading in the direction of Redhouse Lane.

The 23-year-old was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. His family have been informed and are being supported.

Police are appealing for any information to help investigate the collision. This includes any dashcam or door camera footage, as well as witness reports.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Anyone who believes they witnessed the collision, or has dashcam, CCTV or Ring doorbell footage, should contact our Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting log 4082 of 20/06/25.
