In the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday 17 October) Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Bankfield Road, Woodley, following reports of males attempting to steal mobility scooters.

The arrival of police 'disturbed' the alleged thieves, who then dispersed. Police conducted an area search but could not find the males.

GMP did, however, find two mobility scooters which had been wired. One was returned to its owner - police are currently searching for the owner of the other.

Police are looking to locate the owner of this second scooter to return it.
