There is lots to do in Stockport over the next few days.

Friday 31st will see the welcome return of Foodie Friday - a special iteration this time in memory of Martyn Hett, who passed away seven years ago in the Manchester Arena attack.

Saturday will see top KISS tribute band unKISSed take to the stage at The Spinning Top, and you won't have to pay a penny to get in.

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday is Stockport Pride 2024, a celebration of Stockport's vibrant community taking place from 11am in locations throughout the town centre.

It's that time of the month again!

Market Place in Stockport town centre will host a myriad of street food traders in this much-loved event in the Stockport calendar.

Proceedings will run from 6-9pm on Friday 31 May.

This event has special significance, as organisers and attendees remember Martyn Hett, the local man who died seven years ago in the Manchester Arena attack.

A description for this event reads: "Please join us on the very last day of the month for a fabulous event with another stellar line-up of street food traders and live entertainment from Alfie Andrew and Alabaster Queen with a banging DJ set from DJ Sandra D who has played at London Pride and Manchester Pride."

Stockport Pride is set for a return to the town centre on 2 June, with stalls, music, a parade, and more.

The aim of the event is to celebrate equality, diversity, and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in the borough.

Proceedings will focus around the town centre, and will run from 11am.

In Market Place, for instance, there will be a range of stalls hosting local charities, community groups, clothing, crafts, food, drink, and more.

The parade, perhaps the focal point of the event, will assemble in the Underbanks just outside Robinsons Brewery at 11.30am.
