Sleeping Beauty | Stockport Plaza | Thu 2 - Sat 5 January

Enjoy a panto to kick off the new year.

A description for this event reads: "Let us Magically Awaken Your Dreams this Christmas with the North West’s premier Family Pantomime: Sleeping Beauty starring TV favourite Wendi Peters as Carabosse the Wicked Fairy with Scott Gallagher and full supporting cast.

Bramall Hall Christmas activities | until Sun 5 January | Bramall Hall

Sunday 5 January will be the last day that you can see Bramall Hall's festive decorations, and it'll also be the last day of the Elf Trail, a perfect activity for young visitors.

A description for these events reads: "The elves are back at Bramall Hall and they are up to their tricks again!

"Bramall Hall is beautifully decorated for Christmas, which means our cheeky elves have moved in once again!

"Discover our Christmas critters and earn yourself a festive little treat. Snippet, Cranberry and Squire are just a few of our small friends that are looking forward to meeting you!"

Local author talk - Chris Simms | Bramhall Library | Mon 6 January | 4pm

Find advice and inspiration as local author Chris Simms gives a talk at Bramhall Library. Tickets still available.

A description for this event reads: "Chris will be talking about his work and life as an author.

"His latest novel, The Night Watchman, is a gritty thriller with an explosive finish. The Night Watchman will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final nail-biting scene.
