There is lots to do in Stockport over the next few days.

Beginning proceedings on Friday evening is the Outside the Box comedy night at Stockport's Garrick Theatre, featuring a great lineup of comics.

Taking place on Saturday evening is a George Harrison tribute concert from Nick Bold, hailed as one of the best tribute acts for the quiet Beatle.

On Sunday is the Vintage Village Fair at Stockport Market Hall, featuring 60 traders offering books, fashion, furniture, and more.

Also on Sunday is a visit from Peter Hook and Clint Boon, who will be unveiling new murals in the town centre - unfortunately, this is a ticketed event which has sold out.

And taking place throughout the weekend is the family fun-fair at Woodbank Park.

Outside the Box is hosting a comedy night at the Garrick on 7 June, featuring Phil Walker, Faizan Shah, Daliso Chaponda, and MC Hayley Ellis.

Outside the Box comedians perform in a number of clubs across the UK, with legendary names such as Stephen Merchant, Bill Bailey, Dara O'Briain, Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr, and more all having made appearances for the club. 

This is not the only comedy night at the Garrick, with dates set throughout the year. Each night features four comedians from Outside the Box, including both circuit comics and brand new talent.  

As the club states: "Not only popular for recognisable faces, Outside The Box strives to find the best circuit comics and brand new talent to each and every venue. 

"Every bill is designed specifically for each club and we're proud to be known for having a group of gigs that are not only fun for the audience but also for the comedians who perform."

George! - George Harrison tribute | Stockport Garrick Theatre | Sat 8 June

Nick Bold and his stunning live band present an evening in celebration of the works of George Harrison at Stockport's Garrick Theatre.

A description for this event reads: "A tour-de-force evening of great George Harrison solo hits, Beatles classics and Traveling Wilburys too. Bold's performance, storytelling and authentic persona are as "George" as it gets.

"Joined by a stunning live band knocking out hit after hit from George's repertoire, based on his 1992 live show along with more up-to-date material. Bringing to life the outstanding array of George's songwriting skills and Celebrating the music of "The Quiet One" in a performance that has been wowing audiences both in the US and the UK."

This event takes place from 8pm on Saturday 8 June.

Vintage Village Fair | Stockport Market Hall | Sun 9 June | 10am-4pm

The Vintage Village Market returns to Stockport's Market Hall this weekend on Sunday 9 June from 10am-4pm.

The event features 60 stalls, selling homeware, fashion, books, art, and much more. Entry prices are £2.50, £2 for concessions and free for under-12s.

A description for this event reads: "Join us for dozens of vintage stalls and music in the heart of Stockport Old Town!"

Family fun fair | Woodbank Park | Fri 7 - Sun 9 June | 12-6pm

A fun fair will take place in Woodbank Park from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June. The fair will be open from 12-6pm each day.

"Enjoy all the fun of the fair this June with Michael Mulhearn Fun Fair in Woodbank Park Stockport.

"Michael Mulhearn will be bringing the funfair to Woodbank Park (weather permitting). 

"The fun Stockport event will offer family and children's favourites."
