"The Mersey Beatles have been rocking sold-out shows around the globe since 1999 with their truly authentic and widely acclaimed celebration of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Heald Green Day of Action | Top end of Cross Road (meeting point) | Sat 18 April | 11am

(Image supplied)

Join us on Saturday 18 April for a free and slow-paced community walk through Heald Green to show how much our green spaces matter and why they deserve stronger protection.

We will meet from 10:45 am at the top end of Cross Road (the continuation of Outwood Road near Bolshaw) for a departure at 11 am. Bring family, friends, and dogs and feel free to make placards. It's a chance to spend time together, connect with like-minded neighbours, and take part in a shared moment that reflects what these spaces mean to our community.

Heald Green's fields and green spaces provide well-used walking routes, support nature and wildlife and create places where people can meet, play sport, and spend quality time outdoors. Almost all are now being considered for housing development. in the draft local plan.

Reserve a spot and / or find more information here.

Prestbury Choral Society Spring Concert | St Bartholomew's Church, Wilmslow | Sat 18 April | 7.30pm

Prestbury Choral Society (Image supplied)

Our Spring concert features two of Edward Elgar's works: "From the Bavarian Highlands" is a lively song cycle which captures scenes of village life, dances, and the natural beauty of the Alps, and has a cheerful and rhythmic character; by contrast, "Sea Pictures" (1899) explores themes of the sea, nature, love, and reflection, with rich orchestration and expressive melodies.

John Rutter's "Feel the Spirit" was first performed in 2001, and celebrates the rich tradition of African American spiritual music, including "Steal Away," "Deep River," and "When the Saints Go Marching In," presenting them with colourful orchestration and expressive choral writing. It's a concert of rich choral music with broad appeal, so do join us.
