Saturday 8 July will see the much-anticipated return of ReddFest, a Reddish-based community festival which was last celebrated in 2019.

The event, hosted by Worker Bee Markets, will take place in Houldsworth Square and will feature a stage with live music, food stalls, fairground rides, community stalls, and much more.

There is, as Worker Bee Markets states, "lots to keep all generations happy".

Clare Simpson, manager of Worker Bee Markets, said: "The markets bring a mix of brand new makers, dipping their toes in the artisan market scene, seasoned passionate traders who make this their full time career and talented hobbyists who are spreading their love of fresh food and handmade crafts."

Acts on the live stage will include a Morris troupe, magicians, choirs, theatre companies, and more.

Meanwhile, food and craft stalls will range from Jamaican patties and gourmet burgers to gemstone jewellery and homeware.

The event will run from 12-4pm.

ReddFest first ran in 2011, doing so continuously until 2019, when Covid struck.

Now back for 2023, the festival will host "the best of Reddish at this family festival in the heart of the community".
