Newly licensed wedding venues open in Stockport

It's good news for future couples as two new wedding venues have opened in Stockport.

The Crown Hawk Green pub in Marple and the Savoy Cinema in Heaton Moor were both recently granted licenses to hold weddings.

Coinciding with National Registrars Day on 1 July 2023, The Crown Hawk Green pub in Marple held its first wedding ceremony, a momentous day for the owners and staff.

This historic, half-timbered pub is exactly as leafy and idyllic as you would imagine, also boasting fully private indoor and outdoor space for a special day.

The owner - a builder by trade - built the function room where ceremonies will be taking place. His chef was the first groom to marry at the venue - the owner presided over events as toastmaster.
