There is lots to do in and around Stockport this weekend!
Friday will see the welcome return of Foodie Friday with a huge range of food traders and some live music to boot.
Also on Friday, the Garrick's production of Heavy Weather will continue its run - it will finish on Saturday.
As well as theatre, Saturday will also see the 'Emo'down' event take place at Glitch on Prince's Street, dubbed an 'alternative alternative' event.
Rounding off the weekend is Mrs Boon's Tea Party at Bask on Sunday.
Foodie Friday | Market Place | Fri 23 Feb | 6-9pm
It's that time of the month again!
Market Place in Stockport town centre will host a myriad of street food traders in this much-loved event in the Stockport calendar.
Proceedings will run from 6-9pm on Friday 23 February.
A description for this event reads: "Foodie Friday is a truly unique social event for Stockport town centre, creating a continental-style, street cafe culture which appeals to all ages, and gives families a relaxed and enjoyable night out with their children."
If the prospect of all those traders peddling delicious cuisine from around the world isn't enough, then there will also be live music!
Heavy Weather | Stockport Garrick Theatre | Fri 23 - Sat 24 Feb | 7.30pm
One girl's journey through a world teetering on the brink.
Mona is a young woman on the edge. Following a panic attack at school, sparked by a science lesson on climate change, she refuses to leave the house. All she sees is the Earth falling apart, but no one really seems to care.
Amidst the chaos of competing and contradictory voices, she sets off on a kaleidoscopic journey to find solutions for the planet – and the truth about her family – in the hope that everything might start to make sense again.
Shortlisted for Best New Play for Young People at the Writers Guild Awards 2022, HEAVY WEATHER is a powerful and timely play.

Emo meets Country; perhaps My Chemical Romance have more in common with Hank Williams than you might think.
The night starts from 7pm, and will feature music (country covers of emo songs), a buckin' bronco, and a best-dressed competition.
Entry is free, but to guarantee entry you'll need to reserve tickets. Do so HERE.
A description for this event reads: "Are you Ready for our most alternative - alternative - night yet? Emo'hoedown!
"Expect a night of extreme madness, a giant bucking bronco, and a lot of country emo anthems."
