Bank holiday weekend music | Rockafellas | Fri 22 - Sun 24 May

We're open 'til 3am all weekend, the drinks are flowing, the disco's on, and nobody's pretending they've got work on Monday.

FRIDAY

SATURDAY

Think funky NYC bar energy with a bit of Craig Charles chaos thrown in. Disco, soul, house and hands-in-the-air moments all night long.

SUNDAY

@camouchameleon Day Party with Daisy & Glenn 2pm - 10pm

Day drinks that turn into night drinks. Good people, great music, and absolutely no pressure to behave sensibly. Happy Hour until 6pm every day. Open until 3am all weekend

I Drink and I Know Things: An evening with James Bailey, Brian Groom, Morag Rose & Jamie Woodward | Serenity Booksellers, Romiley | Friday 22 May | 6.30pm

Fancy broadening your mind over a drink on a Friday night? Grab a beer, wine or soft drink from The Grapevine and join us instore for a fascinating, fun and informative evening as we welcome four fantastic authors to Romiley for an evening showcasing the very best in new non-fiction.

Learn about the life of an eccentric booker-prize winning author; the history of the UK as told through it's population; how women can reclaim their cities; and the story of our planet from its earliest origins to present day!

James Bailey, Brian Groom, Morag Rose and Jamie Woodward will each be giving an approx 15 minute talk about their latest books (details below) which will be available to buy on the night and get signed by the authors.

Tickets are £12 and include one beer or glass of wine or two soft drinks from Grapevine Bar (which can be brought into the shop). Tokens will be provided at Serenity Booksellers upon entry.

Antiques and collectors fair | Stockport town hall | Sat 23 May | 9am-3.30pm

The longest running and largest antiques , vintage and collectors fair in the north west will once again fill the stunning ballroom of Stockport town hall.

Whatever your taste or budget you will always find something to tempt you which is why the fair has been popular for over fifty years.

There is car parking behind the town hall on Lacy street, train station across the road and 192 buses stopping outside every five minutes so getting there couldn't be easier.

Cash admission is £2.50 per adult or £2.00 with concessions . Hit and cold refreshments available in the cafe.

Stockroom's first birthday | Stockroom | Fri 22 - Sun 24 May

Stockroom is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month.

The library and events space opened on 24 May 2025, and had already welcomed 250,000 visitors within three months of opening.

To mark the milestone, Stockroom will be hosting a weekend programme of free events, featuring live music, games, disco, and more.

The celebrations start 'relaxed' on Friday, building into a huge birthday party on Saturday, then winding down with a 'feel-good' Sunday.

Since its opening last year, Stockroom has seen 55,323 books borrowed, 44,507 drinks brewed, and 226 events hosted.

Rockstock | Woodbank Memorial Park | Sat 23 - Sun 24 May

Rockstock Festival - featuring more than 30 live tribute acts for some of the greatest bands of all time - will return to Woodbank Park in May this year.

At the price of just £16 for adults and £10 for children, this festival provides access to top-quality musicianship and the opportunity to hear non-stop favourites from these legendary bands.

A statement on the UK Tribute Festivals website states: "Our ethos has always been for you to come and experience two days of the best tribute bands on the planet.

"We spare no expense in creating the best possible festival experience possible, and deliver high production values in an extremely fun-filled, safe, family environment.

"We attract like-minded festival revellers of all ages from all corners of the UK and beyond!

This safe, friendly environment is an excellent place for young rockers to attend their first festival, as well as an opportunity to hear quality tribute acts perform in this near unimaginable lineup.
