The YMCA shop in the Merseyway Shopping Centre is closing down - and is hosting a sale in its final days.

The shop, based in the covered mall, will close on Friday 29 May.

It will be offering half price discounts on all its stock - except furniture - until then.

The shop purveys a range of second-hand items, including books, DVDs and CDs, clothes, and furniture.

The YMCA is a youth charity, supporting young people with housing, training, counselling, education, and more.

The shop looks set to become a Barclay's Bank.

The new Barclays is expected to be open from Monday to Saturday from 9am-5.30pm.

It would feature an ATM placed just outside, and a range of facilities inside: this includes private consulting offices, a waiting area, and staff rooms.
