Outside the Box is hosting a comedy night at the Garrick on 6 October, starring Ryan Cullen, Dan Tiernan, Jenny Hart, and MC Lee Peart.

Outside the Box comedians perform in a number of clubs across the UK, with legendary names such as Stephen Merchant, Bill Bailey, Dara O'Briain, Lee Mack, Jimmy Carr, and more all having made appearances for the club.

This is not the only comedy night at the Garrick, with dates set throughout the year. Each night features four comedians from Outside the Box, including both circuit comics and brand new talent.

As the club states: "Not only popular for recognisable faces, Outside The Box strives to find the best circuit comics and brand new talent to each and every venue.

"Every bill is designed specifically for each club and we're proud to be known for having a group of gigs that are not only fun for the audience but also for the comedians who perform."

Midlands metalcore outfit Elysian Divide head to the Spinning Top on Saturday 7 October from 8pm for some hard hitting riffage and brutal breakdowns.

A description of the band reads: "Elysian Divide is a female-fronted metal band from the UK. Elysian (adj): Relating to the feeling of paradise, bliss or delight Divide (noun): A division, separation or divergence Drawing on a range of divergent influences, Elysian Divide has created something new and exciting.

"Formed in early 2016, their sound has been painstakingly honed in the studio and on the stage to create their debut release, Face Behind The Mask. A gritty and uncompromising metal offering, avoiding the obvious and forging a new path. They take a modern approach to heavy music, combining the ferocity of modern metal with the nuances of classic rock.

"This sound combined with the powerful yet delicate vocal delivery of Atashi exploring the human condition and the existential void comes together to provide the perfect soundtrack to disaffected modern living. Elysian Divide released their most recent record "Beast", an EP of four original tracks and one metal cover of Radiohead "Street Spirit" in October 2019."
