A night of glamour will soon take place at John Lewis in Cheadle, as part of a fundraising effort for St Ann's Hospice.

12 October will see The Place to Eat at John Lewis turned into a fashion show, with St Ann's team members taking part in a catwalk "for an evening of fun and fashion".

Money raised will go towards the construction of a new hospice in Heald Green, with new facilities to enhance existing care provision.

Tickets cost £15 and includes: a glass of fizz on arrival; a hand massage from the St Ann's complementary therapy team and Clarins; entertainment from the Crystal Chords Barbershop Chorus; and a £5 voucher to spend at John Lewis (minimum spend of £50).

Lesley Jackson, Outpatient Clinical Services Secretary, will be taking part as a model for the Fashion Show. Lesley says: "I've worked for 20 years at the Heald Green site, so I see every day how our current building is deteriorating and how essential it is that we get a new hospice built for our local communities.

"I jumped at the chance to model at the John Lewis Fashion Show – what a treat to do something different, raise vital funds and get my hair and make up done!"

Anne-Marie Wynne, Head of Fundraising and Capital Campaign, says: "All the money raised from this show will be going towards our Build It Together campaign, which is so important for us to continue gaining vital funds we need for our new hospice building."

The event starts at 5.30pm for 6pm.
