Roadworks along Wellington Road North (outside the McVitie's factory) are scheduled to remain in place until the end of August.

According to one.network, a source for road data, the works are expected to last until 11.59pm on 30 August 2024.

On Wellington Road North itself, there are temporary lights in place outside the biscuit factory. The road is not closed, but traffic flow is being managed.

However, Crossley Road, opposite McDonalds, is closed while works take place. Traffic is being diverted as a result.

The pavements in the area will remain open.

Works are being carried out by Electricity North West, and are classed as 'utility asset works'.
