A new coffee bar has opened in Heaton Moor.

Mouro is based at 72 Heaton Moor Road, featuring a wide-ranging menu and a Moroccan-inspired interior.

The new spot offers speciality coffee, which can be bought by the cup or by the bag. You can also find cold-pressed juices and other speciality drinks, as well as freshly-baked pastries, cakes, and focaccia sandwiches.

Inside, Mouro takes inspiration from 'contemporary Moorish interiors' - that is to say the rich style of Southern Spain and North-Western Africa.

Indeed, many of the furniture items in store were specially commissioned and made in Morocco; from handwoven raffia lights and signature resin tables, through to handmade walnut wood stools and serviceware.

The business is run by Anissa and Lewis, a couple who also run a store in Altrincham called So Marrakech, which was founded in 2020.

This new establishment in the Heatons aims to replicate the success of this earlier store.

Opening hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday to Saturday | 8am-4pm
  • Sunday | 9am-4pm
