Multiple vehicles were damaged by objects thrown from Brinnington Road on Friday 7 November.

The objects were thrown over the side of Brinnington Road onto the M60 resulting in danger to road users, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

One passenger was even hit by one of the objects, but thankfully only sustained minor injuries.

GMP have since stepped up patrols in the area and advised anybody with information about the incidents to come forward.

As yet, no arrests have been made.

Chief Inspector John Picton of our Stockport district said: "Anti-social behaviour is simply unacceptable, it causes distress and damage to our communities. These recent incidents are dangerous and our investigations into them are ongoing.

"Expect to see an increased police presence in the local area to reassure residents that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.

"Please speak to our officers if you have any concerns you would like to raise, they are there to help you."

Anyone with information or footage relating to these incidents can contact police via 101, or make a report via the LiveChat function on GMP's website: www.gmp.police.uk

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
