Repair works on Longford Road West, Reddish, are expected to be completed by Friday 5 July, a United Utilities spokesperson has said.
The road is currently closed as repairs are carried out on a leaking problem. The spokesperson said that the permit for works expires on Friday 5th, and that works would be completed either on or before this date.
They added: "Repairs are ongoing on Longford Road West, Reddish, Stockport under a road closure permit which expires on 05/07/24. Unless there are further issues, it is expected that the work should be completed on or before this date.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
One.network, a source of road data, said that delays were likely as repairs are carried out.
Reddish North councillor Rachel Wise said on social media: "The disruption on Longford Road West is likely to last until at least Friday.
"If you have an appointment at Park View Group Practice or North Reddish Clinic, or you need to collect from the Well pharmacy, you won't be able to access the car park. Please make sure you leave in good time."
