Huffy's at the Three Shires, a local favourite of the Underbanks, re-opened on Saturday 1 July after a period of refurbishment.

This family-run wine bar, restaurant and function room in Stockport town centre has been closed since 2022.

Many residents have memories of visiting in the 1970s and 80s, with Huffy's variously hosting parties, dinners, and operating as a wine bar.

After another period of closure, an official opening party took place on Saturday 1 July from 5pm.

On the new menu is a mixture of lunchtime and evening mains, serving pub classics, steaks, fish, pasta, salads, and small plates.

Vegan and children's options are also available.

A number of deals will run throughout the week, including two fish and chips for £20 on Fridays.

The Three Shires is a grade II listed building, starting life around 1580 as a townhouse. The shopfront was inserted in 1824.

In its long history, the building has been a confectioners, bakery, surgery, and solicitors - the restaurant re-opening will be another entry into the building's storied past.
