Services from Stockport to London are facing 'major disruption' today (Wednesday 30 July), with services cancelled until the afternoon.

Emergency services are dealing with an incident at Milton Keynes which has put a key stretch of the West Coast Mainline out of action.

The disruption is expected to last until around 2pm this afternoon.

Passengers travelling from Stockport to London are advised to travel to Sheffield and find other options from there.

Tickets will be accepted with no extra charge on TransPennine and Northern services between Manchester and Leeds.
