Some footballing legends will be raising money for a Stockport charity as part of an upcoming live show.

Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott and Ian Wright take to the stage at Aviva Studios later this year in support of St Ann's Hospice, based in Heald Green.

The charity supports local residents who are living with life-limiting illnesses.

St Ann's is in the process of building a new hospice in Heald Green to replace its current outdated Victorian facilities - it is this that the pundits (also known as The Overlap team) will be helping to raise money for.

The show takes place on 28 November 2024. Tickets cost £60 and include pizza and a drink at the end of the show. They are available to book at https://factoryinternational.org/whats-on/the-overlap-live/.

The Overlap was launched by Gary Neville on 2021. Their YouTube channel boasts 64 million views and 473,000 subscribers.

During the show, the team will lift the lid on their playing careers, discuss the latest football news, and take questions from the audience.

In the words of a spokesperson, visitors can expect "insightful opinion, glorious banter, hysterical tales… and, yes, more than the odd heated exchange as these old adversaries go head-to-head!"

Gary Neville said: "As soon as we heard about the Build it Together campaign we wanted to do everything we could to support St Ann's Hospice and their fundraising.

"Being able to bring The Overlap to the event is going to be brilliant and I can't wait to get Jamie, Ian, Jill and Roy on stage for this incredible cause."

The new hospice will be a 'complete care facility' for residents in Stockport and Greater Manchester. It will offer diagnosis, treatment and care for life-limiting illnesses. It will be located on land nextdoor to the current Heald Green hospice on St Ann's Road North.
