The Stockport roads where hundreds of drivers are being given parking fines have been revealed.
A freedom of information request about the fines issued by Stockport council showed that from June 2024 to June 2025 there were 23,446 penalties dished out in total.
These gave the council a total income of £801,290.
Princes Street in the town centre was the road with the most parking fines in Stockport in the last year, with 483 penalties given to drivers.
The street is close to Merseyway Shopping Centre and and places to eat and drink in central Stockport.

Grenville Road was the next highest in terms of the total number of fines issued, with 339 given in the last 12 months.
This is a residential street based near Stepping Hill Hospital in Hazel Grove.
At Lancaster Street in Portwood, there were a total of 310 fines issued by the council.
Stockport Council was approached for comment.
Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is introducing new measures in a bid to improve parking at the hospital site and encourage sustainable travel.
This includes parking enforcement officers being reintroduced on the hospital site from October 2025, new barriered car parks for staff, as well as reminders about parking alternatives away from the hospital site and the public transport options available.

It is also establishing some new spaces for staff to help relieve overall parking pressures.
Gareth Hughes, director of estates and facilities for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, said: "We are currently introducing a number of measures aimed at improving parking on the site and travel to the hospital over the longer term.
"We know that car parking can be an emotive issue for staff, patients and our local community, but we also recognise the difficulties people have when navigating and parking at our hospital.
"The changes we are making have safety at the heart of them, so that we can provide a better experience for those attending our site.
"With 5,900 people working on site, and large numbers of patients and carers visiting us every day, we need to ensure our site is safe and parking remains a sustainable option.
"We hope these new measures will help us with this aim."
