The Range has opened a new cafe at its Portwood branch just outside Stockport town centre.

Having opened officially on 21 June, the Cafe Eighty Nine has been welcoming visitors throughout the week.

It replaces the Dee Dee's cafe which was previously based at the store.

Guests can find a range of classic dishes - including burgers, curries and lasagnes - as well as coffees, cakes and sandwiches for those looking for a bit of a lighter bite.

Alex Simpkin, CEO of The Range, said: "We have committed to refurbish a number of stores up and down the country and Stockport is one of many to benefit from this stunning new cafe.

"We are incredibly proud of the space, not only does it enable local shoppers to dine affordably pre or post shop but they get to do so in bright, modern new surroundings.

"A lot of time has been spent making sure that the food and drinks offering provides customers with brilliant quality, while keeping prices affordable, especially for families as we start to enter the summer period."
