Stockport Town Hall hosted the BBC institution of Question Time for its latest episode on Thursday 23 January.

As usual, this topical debate show was recorded in a single take and was broadcast shortly after on BBC One.

On the panel were: Labour MP Lucy Powell, Leader of the House of Commons; Conservative MP David Davis; Green Industrialist Dale Vince; and columnist and broadcaster Matthew Parris.

A 'lively audience' from Stockport and the surrounding areas quizzed the panel on a range of industrial and public policy matters.

The studio was set up in the Town Hall ballroom - it's in fact the third time that Question Time has taken place at Stockport Town Hall.

Cllr Mark Hunter, Leader of Stockport Council, said: "We were delighted to welcome BBC Question Time back to our stunning Town Hall, which continues to be a jewel in Stockport's crown. Its grand architecture and rich history make it the perfect setting for high-profile national debates, and it's fantastic to see it once again on prime-time television.

"Stockport Town Hall is one of the busiest and most prestigious venues in the region and we're proud to see it continue to attract events of this calibre."
