Stockport will host a 'carnival of art' this weekend featuring a parade, exhibitions, and workshops.

Taking place on Saturday 11 October, the carnival will be centred around the town centre's arts venues, including Stockroom, the ARC centre, and the War Memorial Art Gallery.

Events and exhibitions will be running at these locations throughout the day, with the main parade itself set to run from 1.45 to 2.45pm from Stockroom to the War Memorial Gallery.

As for the workshops, they include:

A wearable art workshop at Stockroom from 10am-1pm.
A Happy Hats workshop at the ARC centre (near the Hat Museum) from 11am-2pm.
A self portrait workshop at the war memorial gallery from 12-4pm

And it's completely free to attend!
