Stockport's Town of Culture year may be coming to a close, but that doesn't mean the festivities will be slowing down.
An upcoming project will see primary school children from three schools perform a setlist of songs based on the culture, history and geography of Stockport.
The songs are written for orchestra, composed by Tim Crooks and Charlie Perry.
Concerts will take place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March, and will feature pupils from Warren Road, Cale Green, and Prospect Vale schools.
The pupils are currently taking part in workshops, under the tutelage of vocal coach Nicole Battick, and have no doubt been learning a great deal along the way.
The singers will perform alongside Stockport Youth Orchestra at the concerts; two will take place on Friday 22nd at Stockport Academy at 7pm and 7.45pm, whilst Saturday's concert will be in the courtyard outside Stockport County FC's box office at 4pm.

Tim Crooks, musical director at Stockport Youth Orchestra, said: "It's amazing to bring young people together with music, and to see them having so much fun.
"The arts can transform lives, and it's brilliant that we can engage these young people with the power of music - thanks to Stockport Town of Culture, we are making this happen right now in our borough."
