Stockport's year as Town of Culture in Greater Manchester has sadly passed, but that doesn't by any stretch mean that the fun is over!
Stockport Moves, the family-friendly sporting event spanning the town centre, will return on Sunday 9 June.
Like last year, this iteration of Stockport Moves will feature a huge range of free sporting activities, and will no doubt attract thousands of visitors.
Proceedings will take place from 11am-2pm, between the newly-opened Viaduct Park, and Mersey Square.
Below is just a selection of some of the things on offer:
- Guided walks along the Trans-Pennine trail
- Guided cycle rides
- Bike 'MOT' sessions
- 'Holistic movement and wellbeing', hosted by local experts Upward Frog and Tides Within
- Yoga sessions
- Fitness challenges
- Sports taster sessions
- Fastest goal challenge
- …And more.
See HERE and scroll down for a full timetable.
Further still, there will be food and drink available throughout the day from the town's quality local providers.
Councillor Frankie Singleton, cabinet member for communities, culture & sport, said: "Stockport Moves is a showcase of all the wonderful opportunities for movement available in Stockport.
"Last year's event was a fabulous success, and we want to build on that even further this year.
"We want to make movement and physical activity inclusive for everyone, so I hope as many people as possible join in the free, fun and highly beneficial activities available on the day."
