A 'bigger than ever' Gatley Festival, or 'Gatfest', will be held for the 100th time on Sunday 2 July.

The festival, as usual, will feature a parade, as well as a 'festival field' with a variety of stalls and events running from 12.45-6pm.

The parade this year will include classic cars, dance performers, a pipers' band, and local groups and schools.

Meanwhile, the festival field on Gatley Hill will host live music, food and drinks stalls (including a bar), crafts, donkeys and owls, fairground rides, inflatables, and more.

Visitors will use the event programmes as their tickets. These can be bought for £2.50 in advance from local businesses (The Horse and Farrier, Jackson O'Malley, Wagtails, Bibita, Love Beauty, The Prince of Wales, Village Domestics), or on the day.

The festival begins with the parade, which starts from a The Kingsway School from approximately 12pm.

The parade will continue along Foxland Road on to Springfield Road, Gatley Road then on to Church Road. It will finish by the Tesco near Gatley Hill at 12.45pm.

These roads will be closed for the duration of the parade.

Gatfest organisers say: "In the spirit of celebrating 100 years of Gatley Festival, there will be a variety of events on the run up to the festival to keep you entertained.

"On the festival day we encourage you all to wear your brightest colours and party outfits and join us for what promises to be a day to remember!

"This year's programme has some great sponsors along with some amazing discount vouchers inside. We do hope that you all make the most of these brilliant offers put forward from some of our most excellent local businesses."

Find more information, including a lineup of every stall, act and business involved with the festival, on the Gatfest website HERE.
