Young patients at Stepping Hill treated to surprise visit from Stockport County players
Young patients at Stepping Hill Hospital got a welcome surprise when players and staff from Stockport County FC dropped by.
The players, club president Steve Bellis, mascot Vernon Bear, and even Santa himself visited the Treehouse Unit to drop off presents.
The team brought festive cheer with a selection of chocolate boxes and soft toys.
Behind the visit was Stockport County Community Trust, and the Stockport NHS Charity. The charity "helps to improve the health and wellbeing of patients by in Stepping Hill Hospital and community NHS services by delivering services above and beyond ordinary standards", a spokesperson said.
Stockport County FC have been a loyal supporter of the charity and regular visitors to the Treehouse unit for years.
