Stockport County is hosting a writing competition for talented young authors across the borough.

Open to students in Year 8, the competition features a range of top prizes such as behind the scenes access on matchday, VIP hospitality, and more.

Entrants are asked to submit a 1,000 word piece of writing under the title "This Calls for a Hero". The writing can be in any style or theme - so long as it reflects the title!

The closing date for the competition is 5pm on Friday 28 February 2025 - entries can be emailed to: [email protected].

The winning entry will also be published in a special-edition County book which will be sold in the Hatters shop.

On the panel of judges are representatives from Stockport County and from Together Money, the club's competition sponsors.
