A new live music venue and bar is opening soon in Stockport's Underbanks.

Named 'The Underbank', it will open in March in the Syndikat building.

Behind the plans is Benji Taylor, founder of Bask and former music promoter.

Announcing the opening on Instagram, Benji said visitors can expect touring bands, DJs, comedy, County match days, quizzes, and more.

There will also be a bar offering beers, spirits, wines, and some 'pretty tasty' fresh ground coffee.

"Over the moon to finally reveal details of the new music and events venue we're opening", Benji said.

"We're bringing a heavy PA, incredible lights and one beautiful stage. It's really going to be something."

There will be an opening party announced soon, Benji said.
