Stockport-based hospice named as charity partner for Manchester Half Marathon

St Ann's Hospice in Heald Green has been named as a charity partner for Manchester Half Marathon.
It means that the hospice is one of four official charities that runners can choose to raise money for when taking part.
The Manchester Marathon takes place on Sunday 12 October starting and finishing by Old Trafford. It's a challenge, but is nonetheless welcoming to runners of all abilities with its flat terrain and manageable distance.
Approximately 24,000 people took part in 2024's race.
St Ann's Hospice provides care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. The charity is currently constructing a brand new building in Heald Green to improve care.

A St Ann's spokesperson said: "Run in memory of a loved one, for a personal challenge, or simply to support the compassionate care we provide at St Ann's Hospice. Every mile you conquer helps us continue to offer essential support to our patients and their families."
Laura Hindley, an events co-ordinator at St Ann's, added: "We are absolutely thrilled to be named as a charity partner for this year's ASO Manchester Half Marathon.
"We look forward to cheering on all our #TeamStAnns runners on the day. The ASO Manchester Half Marathon is one of the truly great running events of the year and it is an honour to be listed as a charity partner."
