Stockport's pubs have received more glowing reviews from two of the UK's most dedicated pub-crawlers.

Nottinghamshire's Dale and Holly Harvey are the couple behind the 'Great British Pub Crawl' - it's a mission they set themselves of visiting every single pub across the UK.

The pair visited Stockport for the second time on 15 March, in what was their 1,095th day on the UK's largest pub crawl.

In a write-up on social media, Dale and Holly described it as a 'phenomenal little town'.

Visiting some of the places they missed in their first trip, they called at Compstall before heading to some more spots in the town centre itself.

Of the 19 visits, among the couple's highlights were The White Lion, which they described as 'stunning', "giving off grand stately home style vibes from the moment you walk in".

Also a hit was a revisit to Holy Diver - "We've been to a lot of rock pubs up and down the UK, now. Some absolute belters in some places - but this one is definitely up there with the best of the rock bars we've ever been to", Dale said in a video post.

Dale and Holly also visited the 'world-famous' Chestergate, which they said "really brings the party vibe", with "a really fun atmosphere and varied age range".

You can read everything Dale and Holly had to say about the pubs here.

The visited pubs are listed below, with the corresponding number in the couple's tally (i.e, The Andrew Arms is the 5280th pub they've visited).

Almost three years and over 5,000 pubs into the challenge, Dale and Holly show no signs of slowing down!

You can keep up with their journey on Facebook and YouTube.
