A6 to close overnight in Stockport town centre for more resurfacing works

The A6 between Heaton Lane and Exchange Street will be closed overnight until Saturday 22 March.

The stretch of road outside the Garrick and Spinning Top will be closed to through traffic in both directions from 7.30pm until 5am overnight for the coming days.

It's part of Stockport Council's resurfacing works on the A6.

Signed diversion routes will be in place during the closures.

southbound traffic on the A6 will be directed to turn down the Travis Brow Link Road and onto King Street West.

The Heaton Lane bus gate will remain in operation during the closures.
