Stagecoach announces bus timetable changes for summer holidays
Bus operator Stagecoach has announced some changes to its services from 21 July until 1 September.
The operator has said the changes reflect the fact that fewer people are travelling on the roads in this period, due to the summer holidays.
As a result, some services around Stockport and South Manchester will become slightly less frequent, to account for fewer people travelling.
The changes which are most likely to affect Stockport residents are as follows:
- 192 - every 10 minutes from Mondays to Saturdays
- 197 - every 30 minutes from Mondays to Fridays
- 203 - every 12 minutes from Mondays to Fridays
- 330 - every 15 minutes from Mondays to Saturdays

Stagecoach also advises that some of the arrival and departure times of the services may change. During busy periods, buses usually leave their starting points a little early to account for the busiest traffic. Given that traffic is lessened during the summer holidays, buses will depart a little later, as there is less need to compensate for traffic.
This means that the times when buses are approaching their stopping points might be slightly different. During afternoons, it may also be the case that buses arrive at their destinations slightly early.
Once again, as of 1 September these services will revert back to normal.
