Woodford to host its first ever Worker Bee Market this weekend

Woodford will be hosting its first ever Worker Bee Market this weekend.
Worker Bee Markets hosts regular artisan markets across Stockport, with traders stocking everything from delicious food through to home decor.
This Saturday (7 June) will see more than 45 traders set up at Woodford Park Garden centre from 10am-3pm.
This summer special event will also include activities for kids, such as sunflower painting, a magician's show, face-painting, and more.
The market's friendly handpicked traders will be offering crafts, gifts, fresh homemade produce, small batch makes and home inspiration.
Fourteen of the makers are local to Woodford (from Bramhall, Wilmslow, Cheadle Hulme, Hazel Grove and Woodford itself) so it's a great opportunity to keep local money in your community, rather than spending in big shops!
As Worker Bee Markets curator Clare Simpson said: "You may be surprised how affordable handmade products can be when you cut out the middle man and buy direct."
The family activities will be provided in part by the Bramhall & Woodford Rotary, who are raising funds to ensure Santa's Float can continue this year and in the future.
Girlguiding Stockport will also have free crafting activities and info on local guiding groups. Plus, Hazel Grove magician Simon Hobday will be performing close-up tricks and Cheadle Hulme artist, The Artful Dodger will be on hand to paint faces.
Once again, the event will be held at Woodford Park Garden Centre, Chester Road, Woodford on Saturday 7 June, 10am-3pm.
This is just one of many local events and markets run by Worker Bee Markets, including monthly pop-ups in Reddish and regular seasonal events in Bramhall.
