Beechwood Quiz Night | Edgeley Park | Thu 10 October | 6-11pm
This event offers the chance to test your brain power and to support a local charity at the same time.
Teams of four are required - the cost of entry is £25 per person, with food included in the ticket price.
There will also be entertainment from a DJ, a raffle, and more...
A description for this event reads: "Join us for a fun evening out with friends, family and colleagues. Enter as many teams of four as you like!"

Towards the Sun - launch gig | The Spinning Top | Fri 11 October | 7pm
Towards the Sun will be putting on a launch gig, following the release of their debut single 'Atlas Rivers'.
The gig will be hosted by South City Studios.

Hazel Grove handmade market and fun day (Worker Bee) | Short St Square & United Reformed Church | Sat 12 October | 11am-3pm
There's a brand new artisan market coming to Hazel Grove, with hand-picked, local, talented makers and traders showcasing foodie treats, Hallowe'en and Christmas gifts and much more.
Alongside the market, there's family fun, including sand art activities and close-up magic, a DJ and live music as well as International street food and tasty treats.
Mellor Art Society Exhibition | St Martin's Church Hall, Brabyns Brow | Sat 12 - Sun 13 October | 10am-5pm (Saturday) and 11am-4pm (Sunday)
Mellor Art Society (Marple Bridge) are holding their annual exhibition this weekend at St Martin's Church Hall, Brabyns Brow, SK6 5DT.
Admission is free, and there is also a cafe!
Original paintings and crafts will be on sale.
