A new dealership for Omoda and Jaecoo cars has opened in Stockport.

It's based at 214 Wellington Road South, adjacent to the current Swansway Honda dealership (the Honda dealership will remain open).

The dealership started welcoming customers this month, and is being managed by Swansway Motor Group.

Chinese brands Omoda and Jaecoo are relatively new to the UK.

The first dealerships opened here in August 2024 for Omoda and January 2025 for Jaecoo.

Nonetheless, these makers have generated serious momentum in what has been a relatively short period.

Registrations for this year alone have surpassed 42,000 units, outstripping the likes of Hyundai, Nissan and Skoda.

The cars are popular for their stylishness, accessibility, and low price points, across a range of electric, hybrid, and petrol models.

  • The all-electric E5
  • The plug-in hybrid Omoda 9
  • The Omoda 7, the latest addition the the lineup starting at £29,915 for the petrol engine and £32,000 for the plug in hybrid.

As for Jaecoo, models include:

  • The Jaecoo 5 which is available from £24,505 for the petrol engine or £27,505 for the full electric version.

Omoda cars are aimed at the younger generation of buyers, who like to lead 'personalised, modern lifestyles'.

Jaecoo, meanwhile, target a slightly older audience with a design-led, luxury focus. They aim to combine heritage with technology to create a new era of SUVs.
