Stretching from the foot of the rolling Peak District through to busy suburban Manchester, it's fair to say Stockport is a pretty big place - and it can be hard to navigate, to boot.
Fortunately, a local family-run taxi company is offering substantial discounts for those looking to get around the borough.
Lynx Taxis, based in Hazel Grove, offer a range of discounts to all kinds of passengers - whether it's students heading to studies or pensioners who need a hand with their shopping.

Whether you book by phone on 0161 480 0000, online, or via the Lynx app, here's how you could save:
First time users
If it's your first time using Lynx, you can use the one off code CARD20 for 20 percent off your first trip.

About Lynx Taxis
Lynx Taxis was established in 1988, and services Stockport, Manchester, and Cheshire East.
The company boasts an expansive fleet of 500 modern vehicles, with saloons, estates, eight-seaters, multi-purpose vehicles, and more.
Managing director Ehsan Shakeri said Lynx is a 'community-led' company first and foremost.
"We have lots of regular customers", he explained. "People appreciate having a chat, or just someone who will check in on them if they have a regular weekly journey."
"And we also have this bricks and mortar office in Hazel Grove where there's always somebody to talk to directly - no automated conversations."

Further still, Lynx also has wheelchair-accessible vehicles and specially-trained drivers who can help disabled passengers. And the same goes for elderly passengers who might be less mobile.
There's even a lost property section - so if you've ever misplaced something in the back of a Lynx cab you can rest assured that it will find its way back to the depot safe and sound.
Lynx is also active in supporting local charities and businesses.
They've just rolled out a new taxi butler scheme whereby local pubs and restaurants are given a special device which automatically calls a Lynx cab to their premises, literally at the push of a button.

And they also support local good causes - they donate to local foodbanks every month, and regularly support other charities such as Mentell, the Salvation Army, school fundraisers, and more.
Lynx even hosts prize giveaways - lucky customer Paula picked up a 50-inch LG ultra HD TV this November.
To book a ride with Lynx, call 0161 480 0000, visit the website, or download the Lynx app.
